How to install TWRP recovery on your Andriod devices


In this guide, I'll show you how to install Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) on your Android devices. Installing custom recovery on your Android phone is always a good choice as it removes many limitations present in stock recovery that comes pre-installed on your phone. It is a fully touched interfaced custom recovery and earlier was available only for Nexus devices. But now it supports most of the Android device. You can find an official and Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) on your Android devices.

HOW TO INSTALL TWRP RECOVERY ON YOUR ANY ANDROID DEVICES


In the first method, I will tell you how to flash TWRP recovery without using your computer and in the very next method is Odin method exclusively for Samsung smartphones. Odin is a software developed by the highly reputable developer. It is very easy to use, with a simple click you can flash any firmware.


Method 1 - Installing TWRP recovery without a PC

There are many apps available in the Google Play Store which helps to install a custom recovery without PC but, I prefer Flashify.

Requirement:

- Android 2.3 and up
- Root Permission

Download and Install Flashify | Get it on Play store


1. Download your TWRP recovery for your Android device. If you've downloaded Recovery on a PC, simply copy to your device internal or external storage.
2. Launch Flashify app and grant root permission when a dialogue pop up.
Note: Before flashing TWRP recovery, first backup your current device or stock recovery from BACKUP/RESTORE option.
3. Select Recovery Image>Choose a file and browse to a file manager to select your
.img recovery you've downloaded.


4. After selecting your .img recovery, Flashify app will pop up a dialogue "Flash recovery?"
5. Now select on yup!


6. Finally, another Flash complete dialogue will pop up and select Reboot now.

Method 2 - Installing TWRP recovery using ODIN (Samsung devices)

Requirement

- Latest version Odin tool for your PC
- Your smartphone’s latest USB drivers should be installed on your computer.
- Your device USB Debugging should be enabled.

Enabling USB Debugging


To enable USB debugging on your Android smartphone, you need to open the settings and tap on About Phone. Now scroll down and tap the Build Number 7-8 times to enable Developer Mode. Now go back and open Developer Options, scroll down to USB Debugging and enable it. Also, enable OEM Unlock Option in the developer option for Samsung Android smartphones.

Flash TWRP recovery


1. Download Odin on your computer.
2. Now download the TWRP recovery file for your smartphone.
3. Now extract the downloaded Odin zip file and open it as an administrator.
4. Switch off your device and go to download mode by pressing the combination of volume down + home screen button + power button. Then press volume up to continue and connect your smartphone to your PC.
5. When Odin AP and navigate to and select the downloaded TWRP recovery file (.img).
6. Hit start and wait for the flashing process to complete. This is “how to install TWRP recovery using Odin on your Samsung Android smartphone”, you may disconnect your smartphone now.
